Volunteering
Monash University was named after Sir John Monash, who encourages us to “equip yourself for life, not solely for your own benefit but for the benefit of the whole community”.
Since its foundation, Monash has benefited communities through research and education, and a spirit of volunteering that thrives on campus today.
You’ll find groups of volunteers in local and global communities, and all you need to get involved is a willingness to contribute.
So whether it’s painting a school, running a homework club, befriending newly arrived international students, working on primary trade projects, providing pro bono legal advice, collecting litter or recycling computers, sign up and volunteer today. As Winston Churchill said “we make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”.
